Ground Up Enterprises is a short haul trucking brokerage based in Wake Forest, NC, serving contractors throughout eastern North Carolina.

 

Our founders, Greg Little and Jared Grady, have been friends since childhood - playing sports together from elementary school through college, where they both competed as Division I athletes. Greg played football at the University of North Carolina before being drafted into the NFL. Jared played basketball at Delaware State and the University of Indianapolis.

 

After their athletic careers ended, both men went to work. Jared started in over-the-road trucking before building his own short haul trucking business. Greg worked across sports media, private equity, and marketing. Years of hands-on experience and entrepreneurship led them to join forces and launch Ground Up Enterprises, built on the values that shaped them as athletes: discipline, accountability, and showing up every day.

 

How We Work

We provide trusted trucks and drivers, dispatched, tracked, and analyzed on every job through the Iron Sheepdog platform. That gives our contractor partners the transparency they need on-site, plus tools that reinforce safety and efficiency throughout the workday.

 

Our haulers use a mobile app to accept jobs, check in and out of worksites, collect tickets, and get paid digitally; often within 24 hours of approved work. Less paperwork, less back-and-forth, more trucks doing the job right.
